The Side Lake 4th of July parade will be held Sunday, July 4 at noon. Lineup will begin at 11:00 AM at the storage units west of Ciao's. As usual, the Side Lake parade will have their "spoof' floats and participants. Added this year is a time to remember all of our veterans, past and present. The parade committee wishes to invite all veterans to march in our parade. For those that can't navigate the parade route, we will have chairs on flat bed trailers. To reserve a chair, call Kitty at 254-5177. Also, to all parents with sons or daughters serving overseas, please join the march.

Immediately after the parade, everyone is invited to join the Hibbing High School Marching Band and other dignitaries at the Recreation Center Pavilion. French Township will be giving away free pop and hot dogs.

The parade committee has a great enthusiastic group that is working very hard to make this parade a success. If asked for a donation or gift certificate, please help. Last year the Grand Prize was $500 in cash. There is a separate category for youth with sizable prizes. If you would like to donate as a family, call Joanne Illka at 254-2112.
