In 1911 pioneers of the Bear River Valley joined together to demonstrate what the public-spirited settlers in the small but active community could grow and create. Each year since then, the Bear River Fair has attracted community members and visitors alike to take a look at the creativity and crops that abound throughout the area.

Along with the agricultural and handiwork exhibits that were the heart of the original fair, visitors can also enjoy a wide variety of other activities. Softball tournaments provide great entertainment throughout the two days of the fair. There will be a variety of entertainment including Karaoke music with folks like "Back Woods Entertainment." The Flea Market is back this year{ and that always provides the chance that you might find that one-of-a-kind treasure that you just can't live without! Other activities include bingo, a mini bazaar, artisan demonstrations, kids games and races and, or course, plenty of space and time to catch up with old friends and new. Bear River Church Worship Services will be held on the fairgrounds on Sunday morning at 1.0:30.

Good food is a big part of any celebration, and the Bear River Fair is no exception. Dinner will be served on Sunday afternoon from Noon to 2:00 p.m. inside the building along with vendors outside. Pie and coffee will be available Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:30 and continuing until there is no more. (It goes quickly!)

Exhibits must be entered on Saturday morning, August 21.{between 9:30 & 1.2 noon. Everyone is invited to enter at least an item or two. The more exhibits, the better the Fair! Regulations and Premium Lists are available from Cindy Holm at 21.8-376-4405.

The 99th Annual Bear River Fair will be held at the Bear River Community Center (The Old Bear River School) on the corner if Highway 22 and Highway 5 in Bear River, Minnesota on Saturday and Sunday, August 21 & 22, 2010. It's a time to relax and a time to reminisce with friends and family that you may have not seen since last year's fair. Come and enjoy!
